Photo of Janelle JonesJanelle grew up in Poway with her two younger sisters and older brother. She spent the majority of her childhood on a soccer field but decided to play lacrosse at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. At Cal Poly she earned her B.S. in Business and minored in Psychology. In her senior year at Cal Poly she worked at a Children’s Center where she first started working with children with autism. Upon graduating she spent a year in San Luis Obispo as a Paraeducator in the school district. She worked as a shadow aide for students with autism and also worked privately in home doing behavioral therapy under the supervision of Autism Partnership. After a year in the school district she decided to move back to San Diego to be closer to family and friends. She spent the next two years working as an Early Childhood Interventionist at Coyne and Associates doing in home behavioral therapy with children from 2-6 years old. From here she decided to get her Masters in Special Education and to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. While taking courses through Arizona State, Janelle worked as an Inclusion Coordinator at a Preschool in Chula Vista.

Janelle enjoys hanging out with her friends and family anywhere in the sun, coaching lacrosse, playing sports, and traveling. She’s looking forward to finishing up her Masters courses this December and can’t wait to have no more homework on the weekends!
