Deborah Martin

    Deborah loves working with children and young adults who have various degrees of autism because she feels that these children simply have a different way of communicating. As an artist, Deborah sees the world in many different ranges, which is essential in working with creative minds. Deborah feels that there is great freedom in music for expressiveness.

    Deborah has worked with children since the age of 12 babysitting and at school. Deborah also grew up in a large family where there was always children around. She has always had fun babysitting because the children are so creative. Deborah has worked for the Chief Pediatrician of Anaheim General Hospital for three years (1975-1978) and has had experience in the early eighties working at a child care center at a military installation.

    For the past eighteen years, Deborah has been the owner of Spotted Peccary Music, an independent record label. She is enrolled in a Healing Health Practitioner program to which she finishes in in September of 2005 and will be certified upon completion of the Board. At C.A.S.E.,Inc., Deborah is a trained Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapist, the music director and she incorporates artistic expression through the use of music and arts with Friends' Club groups and in private sessions.

    Deborah is a professional musician and composer. She specializes as a recording artist, producer, musician and vocalist. Deborah has had schooling in law and medicine. She has also performed intensively since the age of fifteen and her main instrument is the guitar. She also utilizes such instruments as the piano, percussion. instruments, drums and keyboards for composition purposes.

    In her spare time, Deborah enjoys bowling, horseback riding, and cooking.
