Methodologies

Cynthia LaBrie Norall, Ph.D., has had many people influence her work. As a licensed Educational Psychologist, Dr. Norall focused her studies in Autism. She began her San Diego County Clinic, C.A.S.E., Inc., back in November of 1999, when her beloved friend Dr. B.J. Freeman suggested that she begin her own social skills group. Dr. Norall and Dr. Freeman discussed ideas on how to run this special group which is now known as Friends' Club.
Dr. Norall has also been influenced by Carol Gray, Tony Attwood, and Michelle Winner. She has often incorporated many of their books and activities into the lesson plans. Others who have been influential are Dr. Ron Leaf, Cynthia Struiksma with Autism Partnership, Belinda Rogers, a parent of one of our very first teen girls who has co-wrote Dr. Norall's Handout "Asperger's Syndrome," Merryn Affleck and Marianne Maichen.
C.A.S.E., Inc. would like to thank Judy Cordener, Robyn Wooton-Robbins, and Evan Wooton for their support and ideas in addition to thanking all of C.A.S.E., Inc.'s clients who have become our "friends" throughout the years. We cannot emphasize all they have taught us.
