           Michelle began with CASE in July, 2008, after relocating from Florida. Michelle grew up in Florida and completed a B.A. in Psychology at the University of West Florida. After graduation Michelle decided to take a job working in the community with Americorps. During her time with Americorps she worked as a reading tutor with small groups of children, and one-on-one, in a classroom setting. Americorps gave Michelle experience in utilizing reading programs and coming up with creative and alternative methods for teaching. Americorps also helped her gain experience volunteering in the community. After Americorps Michelle took a job with FamiliesFirst Network working as a Family Services Counselor. As a counselor Michelle worked toward unifying children and families in their homes.
